Technical Information
Heat pumps utilise the sun's free heat by collecting and absorbing energy from the outside air. This energy is then compressed and transferred to the pool water. This reduces the cost of heating your pool. The graph below shows pool temperature and costs incurred.
The above figures are for the Heated Pools Spain 12.5kW output stainless steel swimming pool heat pump, heating a 8m x 4m x 1.5m tiled swimming pool located in the Costa Blanca, Spain We predict that the performance of a heat pump located in the United Kingdom will be approximately 15% less efficient as it is cooler. Balearic and Canary Islands should perform approximately 20% better.
